Sweater Pillow Set Dark Blue Fair Isle

You've seen them at Pottery Barn, Ballard, and all your favorite decor shops. Knitted pillows are very much the decor statement right now. I've taken the idea and am using up cycled sweaters to make them.

These covers will fit one 20-inch pillow insert and one 12-inch insert. I recommend using feather inserts for a softer pillow and easier insertion into this style cover. Please note these covers actually measure a bit smaller than the insert recommended. They are cut to the insert size, but when sewn lose a small portion of their dimension. This insures a plumper pillow.

They were made from a cotton sweater labeled, "Woods & Gray." The sweater was an overall Fair Isle design in colors of navy, red, white and hunter green. Both covers are backed with a dark blue denim, which you can see in the fifth picture.

The pillow covers are not just for decor, but made to be used. I have machine washed and dried the sweater and the denim fabric used to back the covers. All inside edges have been serged. Closure is with an overlapping panel in the back.

This set will be perfect with your cottage, cabin or lake house decor, They would also be great in a boy's bedroom.

Machine wash and dry, cold water.
