Sweater Pillow Set White Cable

Made from an up cycled sweater from "Roundtree & Yorke" this set of soft white cabled pillow covers are an understated, but pretty set.

You've seen them at Pottery Barn, Ballard, and all your favorite decor shops. Knitted pillows are very much the decor statement right now. I've taken the idea and am using up cycled sweaters to make them.

These covers are backed with a cotton textured fabric. You can see it in Picture 5. Closure is with a "fold-over" panel in the back.

These covers will fit two 16 -inch pillow inserts. I recommend using feather inserts for a softer pillow and easier insertion into this style cover. Please note these covers actually measure a bit smaller than the insert recommended. They are cut to the insert size, but when sewn lose a small portion of their dimension. This insures a plumper pillow.

These two covers are matching and their fronts are a series of simple cables repeated and divided with stockinette stitches.

These pillow covers are not just for decor, but made to be used. I have machine washed and dried the sweater and the fabric used to back the covers. You can do the same as needed with cold water and a gentle cycle.

All inside edges have been serged with an overlapping stitch for strength.
