Sweater Pillow Set Red Snowflake

This set of two red snowflake knit pillow covers from a ramie and cotton up cycled sweater will give your cottage chic decor just a pop of color! These pillows would be great for holiday decors.

These covers will fit one 14-inch and one 12-inch pillow inserts. I recommend using feather inserts for a softer pillow and easier insertion into this style cover. Please note these covers actually measure a bit smaller than the insert recommended. They are cut to the insert size, but when sewn lose a small portion of their dimension. This insures a plumper pillow.

The covers are backed with a solid red cotton fabric, which you can see in Picture 6. Closure is with an fold over envelope style.

The larger cover is predominately red knit with a fair isle motif along one side in shades of gray and white. The smaller cover has a single snowflake in gray and white angora embroidered on the red background. All inside seams have been serged to prevent raveling.

I have machine washed and dried the original sweater and the fabric used for the backing. You can do the same, as needed, using a gentle cycle and cold water.
