Sweater Pillow Set Brown Fair Isle

An up cycled rust and beige cotton sweater from Liz Claiborne combines cables and fair isle in this pretty knit set of pillow covers.

This set of two pillow covers will fit two 12-inch pillow inserts. I recommend using feather inserts for a softer pillow and easier insertion into this style cover. Please note these covers actually measure a bit smaller than the insert recommended. They are cut to the insert size, but when sewn lose a small portion of their dimension. This insures a plumper pillow.

The covers are backed with a light brown cotton fabric which you can see in Picture 5. Closure is with an envelope style.

Made from an up cycled cotton sweater, the two covers are simular but not identical. One cover is a light beige with a side panel of rust cables and fair isle. The other cover has a wider rust panel without the cables.

All inside seams have been serged to prevent raveling.

I have machine washed and dried the original sweater and the fabric used for the backing. You can do the same, as needed, using a gentle cycle and cold water.
